The song Rejoice in the Lord by Ron Hamilton is one of my favorite songs. I like the first verse because I do believe God won’t put you through something you can’t handle. But on the other hand, He could put you through a trial to grow your faith in Him.
Psalm 139:14 says, I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
God made you and me the way we are for a reason. That reason is to tell others about how He died on a cross for everybody’s sin so we could go live with Him in Heaven forever!! You just have to believe that Jesus died on the cross for you and that He rose up from the dead on the third day like He said He would. God loves you no matter what you have done. He’ll forgive you and never bring up that sin again.
The words to “Rejoice in the Lord.”
1. God never moves without purpose or plan
When trying His servant and molding a man.
Give thanks to the LORD though your testing seems longIn darkness He giveth a song.
2. I could not see through the shadows ahead;
So I looked at the cross of my Savior instead.
I bowed to the will of the Master that day;
Then peace came and tears fled away.
3. Now I can see testing comes from above;
God strengthens His children and purges in love.
My Father knows best, and I trust in His care;
Through purging more fruit I will bear.
Chorus: O Rejoice in the LORD
He makes no mistake,
He knoweth the end of each path that I take,
For when I am tried
I shall come forth as gold.
