How Can I Fear?

I was reminded of this song Sunday night. The whole song can bring me to tears when I stop and think on the words and how God can take all fears away. Many of us have fears. My biggest fear is what does God have in store for my life in the future? Where will I be in ten years? Will I still be living in the same state, doing the same thing day after day? Or will God decide to move me where he wants me and depend on Him?
Christian author Jim Berg describes in his book “Changed Into His Image” two views of life in relation to our circumstances and future. I have always wanted to see the “helicopter view of life.” That is God’s view. He can see all of the traffic on the freeway of life and know what’s around the bend and where the danger is. I’m sure many folks have wanted to see this as well. But we only get to see the “windshield view of life.” The immediate view which requires faith and dependance on God even more. In Psalm 56:3 it says, “What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”
I don’t know what you’re going through right now in your life? But God does, the Bible says in First Peter 5:7 “Casting all your cares upon Him , for He careth for you.” So what’s your fear or worries in life? How can you fear when Jesus is near?

How Can I Fear?
By Ron Hamilton

When shadows fall and the night covers all
There are things that my eyes cannot see.
I never fear, for the Saviour is near.
My LORD abides with me!

How can I fear? Jesus is near!
He ever watches over me!
Worries all cease; He gives me peace.
How can I fear with Jesus?

When I’m alone and I face the unknown
And I fear what the future may be,
I can depend on the strength of my Friend!
He walks along with me.

How can I fear? Jesus is near!
He ever watches over me!
Worries all cease; He gives me peace.
How can I fear with Jesus?

Jesus is King! He controls everything!
He is with me each night and each day.
I trust my soul to the Saviour’s control;
He drives all fear away!

How can I fear? Jesus is near!
He ever watches over me!
Worries all cease; He gives me peace.
How can I fear with Jesus?
