My Hope Is JESUS!

As I help this week at Bible school (at Bible Baptist Church) in my awesome fifth grade girls class. All of my memories of going to Bible School flooded my mind. Especially the summer of 2000, I was in second grade. I didn’t know God would change my life that week. I am so thankful He did though. That week as the preacher was preaching on sin and how we ALL deserve to go to a place called Hell forever. But God sent His Son, Jesus to die on a cross for the whole world. So that we could go to live with Him forever in Heaven. The Bible says in Romans 10:9 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” That week I humbled myself and confessed that I was a sinner and I didn’t want to go to Hell. As my mom prayed out loud, I prayed in my heart. I asked Jesus to forgive me of all my sins. That day I got saved by the mighty hand of God, not by my works, but by trusting in the only one who can save us all, Jesus!!

As I look back on all the times He has blessed me, I’m in awe of the miracles He has done through me. Not so I could get the glory, but for God to get all the glory, honor and praise. For my hope is Jesus, the one who gives me a smile and joy in my heart.

Is your hope in Jesus? I just heard a new song by Ron Hamilton called, My Hope is Jesus! I hope it’s a blessing.
