Now I Know Him

I heard this song for the first time this week on iTunes. It’s sung by Joseph Habedank. The song is called,”Now I Know Him.”
This song talks about knowing God through the easy times in life and also through the hard times in life. I love the chorus how it says, Now I know Him as my shelter in the rain. Yes, now I know Him as my shepherd through the pain. He is dear when life is easy but in heartache so much more. And now I know Him like I never had before.
This song reminds me of a verse in Isaiah chapter 43 verse 2 where He promises He will be there through whatever kind of circumstance we go through. Isaiah 43:2 says, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee”
Isn’t that a wonderful promise? I hope this song is a blessing to you.

Now I Know Him
Verse 1
I have known Him in the best of times when everyday was nothing but sunshine. And His blessings were my daily bread, it was true I knew Him then and yet.

Chorus
Now I know Him as my shelter in the rain. Yes, now I know Him as my shepherd through the pain. He is dear when life is easy but in heartache so much more. And now I know Him like I never had before.

Verse 2
If my faith had not been tested by the flames, how could I’ve known these steps of grace. Cuz, what is trust until it’s proven true, when I see the valleys He has brought me through

Chorus
Now I know Him as my shelter in the rain. Yes, now I know Him as my shepherd through the pain. He is dear when life is easy but in heartache so much more. And now I know Him like I never had before.
(Now I know Him as the healer of my heart. Yes, now I know Him as He led me through the dark. He is dear when life is easy but in heartache so much more. And now I know Him like I never had before.)

  2. Abigail, I stumbled across your blog on Pinterest! I subscribe to get JAF pins and there you were! I have a son, Samuel, who has autism. He is considered to be non-verbal/limited verbally. He is 18 now, but began communicating using a letter-board and iPad. He learned to do this with RPM (Rapid prompting Method) about 2 years ago. He struggles with significant motor planning impairment. He’s pretty active and so forth, but he has difficulty with Executive Function-his words! He told us, fairly quickly, that he is ‘intellectually intact’ and that he has no problem with the input but the output. He feels like autism is so misunderstood and that there are many others like himself who are ‘trapped’ inside. We are so grateful that the Lord made a way for him to finally communicate. (In a meaningful way-his words)

He went from Dick and Jane readers to Latin in a matter of months!! It’s not that the method taught him anything, it just released what was already in there. He blogs on the JAF Kid’s Corner Blog if you’d like to read a few of his posts. Once you’re on the Blog, look to the left (reddish box) and you will see SAMUEL’S POSTS. Enjoy!

He, too, loves his Savior and eagerly strives to glorify Him in all he does. Just like you! Press on little sister, He is worthy! I intend to order a few boxes of your great cards.

    Bless you,
    Mrs. C
