When I first heard the song, “I Belong To Jesus” back in April I immediately put it on my “amazing songs” playlist! I fell in love with the second verse and chorus which say,
He’s walked me through some valleys
And He’s taken me through storms,
He’s given me some victories
And protected me from harm,
When I’m so in need of mercy
When I feel Him the most
A still small voice reminds me and I know,
I belong to Jesus,
No other name to claim me
Just Jesus
He’s in my heart
He saved me,
He paid a price long ago on Calvary’s hill
He bought my soul, it’s freedom
And I can say I belong to Jesus
Those words are very encouraging to me. As I look forward to see how God will work in kids’ hearts this week at Vacation Bible School. I can’t help but thank the Lord for saving me at Bible School when I was seven. What a comfort it is to know that I belong to Jesus!
I belong to Jesus
Verse 1
If you don’t know about me I can tell you who I am,
A husband and a father, just a ordinary man,
But the picture that I paint you will never be complete
Until you see the most important thing,
Chorus
I belong to Jesus
No other name to claim me
Just Jesus
He’s in my heart
He saved me,
He paid a price long ago on Calvary’s hill
He bought my soul, it’s freedom
And I can say I belong to Jesus
Verse 2
He’s walked me through some valleys and He’s taken me through storms,
He’s given me some victories and protected me from harm,
When I’m so in need of mercy when I feel Him the most
A still small voice reminds me and I know,
Chorus
I belong to Jesus
No other name to claim,
Just Jesus
He’s in my heart
He saved me,
He paid a price long ago on Calvary’s hill
He bought my soul, it’s freedom
And I can say I belong to Jesus (2x)
