I Choose…

Wednesday night I bought some new songs sung by the Erwins. One of the songs I got is called “I Choose to be a Christian.” The lyrics are rich and they’re something I want to convey to the world!

We all have to make choices in life. Some are hard and some are easy. We must ALL come to the point in life where we must choose the path that we believe is right, not just because that’s how we grew up so that’s what we’re going to do. No, we or I (if I can make it personal) need to base everything I have learned growing up in a Christian home on what God says in His Word. I do realize that not everyone grew up in a Christian home. My heart goes out to those people. But I have seen God change people’s lives around and now they are living and serving Him.

In the first verse of this song it talks about growing up and being taught the Scriptures before she could read them. Finding them to be true, that’s why she believed them.

Every life is a gift from God. I strongly believe that. I know this will sound odd to some people, but it’s what I have found to be true.

I’m SO blessed! Let me explain a little bit about what I mean by that statement.

First of all, God blessed me by putting me in a Christian family. He didn’t have to do that, but He did and I’m so thankful for that.

Next, He changed my life physically. If you have read posts from the past years, you know that I’m handicapped. I have come to the point in my life where I’m content being handicapped. I look at my life differently than others do. I believe that God allowed this disease called Dystonia in my life so He could receive the glory, because if you took God away from my life, you would find a very bitter person. But thank goodness you can’t take God from me because I depend upon Him day by day.

Lastly, He changed my life spiritually. He became my Savior when I asked Him to come into my heart and save me from my sins and Hell. Now I have a home in Heaven reserved for me.

I don’t deserve to go to Heaven, none of us do. But the Bible says in John 3:16, “For God so loved this world that He gave His only begotten Son, that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him shall NOT perish but have everlasting life!”

When I say I’m SO blessed that’s what I mean!!

What path have you chosen? Why?

How is God blessing your life?

I’m so thankful that I can say I choose to be a Christian!!

Thanks Abigail, you made my Day
I am one of those who wasn’t raised in a Christian home, but a little old lady drove out in the country and took me and my little brother to VBS when I was eight years old and I choose to call on Jesus to be my savior
And I Love Him because He first Loved me.
And I would be a very angry and mean person without Him in my life.
